(also referred to as “MTY”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”). This Policy describes the types of information you voluntarily provide to us (“Personal Information”) and details our policies and procedures relating to the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Information.

You can access and use our Website without telling us who you are or revealing any information by which someone could identify you as a specific, identifiable individual. If, however, you wish to interact with our  Website and use some of its features,  you may be asked to provide certain personal information. Personal Information collected may include:

Some collected information is in fact collected and stored by our trusted third-party service providers (the “Service Providers”) that perform services on our behalf such newsletter mailing list management, online food take-out/delivery orders, online surveys, restaurant bookings and loyalty programs management. Our Service Providers include Ueat, Tacit, Mobi2Go, Lanla, Libro, Mail Chimp, Cake Mail, Paystone and Spendgo.  We do not authorize our Service Providers to use or disclose any of the provided information for their own marketing purposes or other. It is however important to note that when you create an online food take out/delivery account, make an online meal order, participate in one of our loyalty rewards programs, fill out a survey or apply for a job opportunity, you may be redirected to our Service Providers’ website managed by them. It is your responsibility to read their privacy policies as well as their terms and conditions so you may better understand their management of your Personal Information. MTY assumes no responsibility for the manner in which these third parties may collect, use, share or otherwise treat your Personal Information.


Transactional Information

MTY does not collect, handle or store any credit card information.  We use Service Provider processors such as Moneris to process the transactions you request from our Website such as gift card purchases. Here again, it is your responsibility to read and understand the privacy policies of these Services Providers so you may better understand how your credit card information is managed and protected by these Service Provider processors.

Personal Information will be used to process your gift card order and carry out the transaction (s) that you have requested.

 

Placing an Order Via Our Website:

Personal Information will be used to process your order and carry out the transaction (s) that you have requested.

 

Franchise Opportunities:

Personal Information will be used to contact you to continue the application process.

 

Employment Opportunities:

Personal information will be used to contact you to continue the employment application process.

 

Participating in Online Contests:

Personal Information will be used to administer the contest, including to contact the winner and coordinate remittance of the prize.

 

Creating Online Take-Out/Delivery Account:

Personal Information will be used to facilitate the online ordering experience and check-outs.

 

Joining One of Our Loyalty Rewards Program:

Personal Information will be used to send you exclusive offers, discounts on your favorite menu items and “VIP” access to special perks and benefits

 

By providing your information to MTY, you consent to MTY, collecting, storing and/or using your Personal Information for the purposes outlined above.  If your Personal Information is to be used, collected and/or shared for any other purpose, your consent will be obtained before or at the time the information is collected.

The data collected is shared with other Goggle services.  You can opt-out of having your activity on the Website made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. You have the right to access your Personal Information, update and /or correct any inaccuracies and have the information amended as necessary within a reasonable delay. To request access to your Personal Information or to update and/or correct it, please feel free to contact the MTY Brand directly by using the contact information found on its website or to contact MTY directly by phone or by email at the addresses found below in section 15 of the Policy, and we will be sure to respond within thirty (30) days of your request.

 

MTY will retain your Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and to the extent necessary to comply with federal and provincial privacy laws and regulations.

Once the retention period expires, Personal Information shall be deleted.

For everything else, you can contact us by contacting the MTY Brand directly by using the contact information found on their website or by using the information found in section 15 below, and we will process your request promptly.

 

Withdrawing your consent to collect, use and share your Personal Information may restrict our ability to communicate with you and provide you with products and services.
